This year’s ONPEA conference is intended as a cross Canada ( national) event. Please feel free to share it with all the people you know who may be interested in attending or participating.
The Ontario Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse (ONPEA) is pleased to announce its "CALL FOR PAPERS" for its annual conference on November 3rd - 4th, 2009 in Toronto, Ontario. The theme of this year’s conference is “National Perspectives on Elder Abuse: Join the Conversation.”
The intent of the conference is to facilitate knowledge exchange amongst stakeholders from across Canada about ”promising approaches” in elder abuse prevention and intervention. You may be involved and/or connected with innovative work being done in your communities to respond to elder abuse and I encourage you to share your knowledge and successes with others at this exciting conference.
We are looking forward to submissions for papers, workshops and posters from across Canada. Submissions can be made on-line until June 12, 2009. I have attached the link to the ONPEA website where you can submit on-line or download the Call for Papers: www.onpea.org or www.mms-data.com/ONPEA/ONPEA_09_CallforPapers.htm
It's exciting to build on the momentum and work being done in Canada to respond to elder abuse. We hope you will join us to share your knowledge with individuals across disciplines, network with colleagues and discuss the future directions of elder abuse at this National Conference.
Please circulate this notice to other colleagues we would like to extend the invitation far and wide! I look forward to your submissions.
